Kids Helpline @ School Facilitator

Job no: 495308
Work type: Maximum Term (Part-Time/Defined End Date)
Location: Blacktown, Milton, Melbourne
Categories: Counselling & Psychology

Kids Helpline @ School is a free early intervention program available to primary and secondary schools in Australia. The program uses tertiary qualified Facilitators and video conferencing technology to engage students in evidence-informed sessions that promote student emotional literacy, resilience building, digital safety and citizenship, coping strategies, and help-seeking behaviours.

Kids Helpline @ School aims to increase awareness of Kids Helpline services as well as to build on student ability to tackle challenges impacting their mental health and wellbeing. A Kids Helpline @ School facilitator's role as part of the Kids Helpline @ School team is to develop content, video conference with teachers and students across Australia and to work in the early-intervention space.

We are looking for a Facilitator to take ownership of a Kids Helpline @ School room through facilitating sessions, and reviewing and updating delivery content in line with the latest evidence and research.

This represents an excellent development opportunity to gain new skills and work a Monday to Friday day shift roster! You will be provided with training on how to interact over video-conferencing technology and how to facilitate sessions.

You will need to be tech savvy, particularly in using video conferencing platforms and be comfortable being on camera and facilitating sessions with primary and high school students. You will also need to be flexible, adaptable and reliable, and be able to work autonomously to meet service outcomes and program needs.

If you have any questions about the position, please contact Marnie Elliot on 0434 609 384.
